NATIONAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Mike grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and discovered his love for "hands-on" learning early in life while working with his dad and brother in the garage. Mike graduated from Augsburg College in 2014, with a B.A. in Marketing. Throughout college, Mike worked for the Augsburg bike share program and ended up starting his own moped restoration business, Mike's Bike's. After graduation, Mike worked in logistics, coordinating truck drivers on their cross-country routes for a little under two years. Mike was diagnosed with his LD, dyslexia, in the third grade.

WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT TO ME
I was aware of my LD from a young age, but consistently struggled to accept my dyslexia as something that would always be a part of the way I learn. Throughout most of my schooling, I hid my LD and struggled to learn like "everyone else" did. After I discovered the work that Eye to Eye does and started mentoring with the organization, I began to accept my LD as a learning difference, rather than a detriment. I am passionate to share the empowerment I have received through my work with Eye to Eye with others.
FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB
When I see people empowered with acceptance and pride for their learning disabilities share their stories with others.
