"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others." —Nelson Mandela.
WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT TO ME
This work is important to me because I believe that education is the most powerful and important tool a person uses to be successful in life. The two hallmarks of Eye to Eye’s program—being a part of a community, and having a Mentor—are absolutely invaluable in the lives of youth. Everyone deserves to walk through life with their full potential and access to learning (in their own unique way).
FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB
I feel honored to be a part of this movement that empowers youth across the country every day. I also love working behind the scenes to make sure the organization is operating at its full capacity with efficiency. It’s amazing to watch the Eye to Eye community come together, eliminate stigma, and do their part to make this world a better place by letting everyone know: we all learn differently—and that’s awesome!
