ALUMN'EYE PROGRAM MANAGER
Katie Watson, Eye to Eye's Alumn'Eye Program Manager, graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in healthcare management and policy and worked in hospital administration for four years. After meeting with the team at Eye to Eye, she became deeply interested in the culture and the movement. Her strengths as a project manager, her commitment to empowering children who learn differently and their families, as well as her personal experience of growing up with LD made her a great fit for the Eye to Eye organization.

WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT TO ME
During my childhood, I struggled with learning disabilities, specifically dyslexia, but I never let my LD define me as a student or a person. With the help of mentors and school programs, I learned to rise above my problems. I was able to accomplish many of the tasks that were difficult for me through a dedication to organization and attention to detail, which are attributes I'm now proud to call strengths.
FAVORITE PART OF MY JOB
Hearing the stories of the Mentors and Mentees about how Eye to Eye has truly changed their lives, and helping to be a part of that movement.
