Director of Marketing & Communications
Katherine brings nearly a decade of nonprofit marketing experience to Eye to Eye. Her passion for making an impact has always led her to roles that involve lifting others up and revealing their inherent potential. After relocating from Tampa, FL to the New York City metro area in 2010 she chose to pursue a career following that passion. She graduated with honors from Thomas Edison State University with a BA in Social Science, all while working full-time and managing life with a family of three with ADHD.
When Katherine is not helping others unlock their greatness through her work, she can be found leading Girl Scouts in hiking and camping, lounging with the world’s laziest Boston Terrier, enjoying some live music, or catching the latest flick with her husband and daughter.
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
Why this Work is Important To Me
ADHD and LD are terrible names for what they describe. What if the words disorder and disability were replaced with some that more clearly define the conditions? I would choose differences or diversity. We need to create a culture of cognitive diversity. The key to creating that culture begins when kids are able to thrive and live without stigma.
Favorite Part of My Job
Meeting and getting to know the LD/ADHD community. It’s a community of people that are always surprising the world with their creativity.
