About Melba

Melba is an accomplished professional having spent twenty years establishing comprehensive administrative functions and over ten years offering support to the Executive Director of Playworks NY/NJ. During her time at Playworks, she held a variety of responsibilities including recruitment of hundreds of volunteers, administration of compliance for the regional portion of Americorp’s national grant, and creation and management of a Young Leadership Board of ten incredibly diverse individuals. Her experience working for a non-profit helped her hone communication and organization skills, further improve upon her time management skills and detailed analytical decision-making, and build upon her already proven track record of consistently meeting and regularly surpassing demanding performance goals.

Melba truly understands the importance of this non-profit work, especially since her daughter has the SUPERPOWER of ADHD. All too familiar with the great difficulties associated with learning challenges, she is wholly supportive of Eye to Eye’s commitment to providing students with the tools to help improve not only education but life, in general.

In her spare time, Melba is creating the best little people, aka her children, to give their best selves every day. She loves music, training for Jiu-Jitsu with her kiddos, and anything and all things related to the arts.
