Learn Different Lab: Transitions, Grit, and Resilience

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FREE RESOURCE FOR SCHOOLS
For students who learn differently, the social-emotional skills of grit and determination in times of transition — like switching to a virtual learning environment — are essential. But how do we teach students to ask for the help they need? What strategies can empower them to advocate effectively for themselves? By sharing her inspiring story and practical strategies for success, former mentor and Chapter Leader turned Senior National Program Coordinator Christie Spisak encourages different learners to find the strength within themselves to persevere through life’s inevitable transitions.
Educators and adults are invited to stick around after the student lab for a live Q & A with Eye to Eye Founder, author, and LD Advocate David Flink and High School Literature and Composition Teacher and Academic Advisor at Sterne School, Zoila Lara-Cea.
