Eye to Eye is headed to SxSW!

Every year at South by Southwest EDU (SxSW), a community of forward-thinking, purpose-driven, and optimistic stakeholders connects in Austin, Texas, to impact the future of teaching and learning. Eye to Eye looks forward to participating in SXSW EDU in Austin this year, and we hope to see you there! (Even if you’re not attending the conference, you can follow the conversation on social media by following #SXSWEDU.)

As a team, we are excited to make meaningful connections with educators and education leaders who are dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ lives through their educational journey and beyond.

We are perhaps most excited to share strategies educators can use in classrooms nationwide to support students who learn differently! All of us must rethink our approach to learning differences, whether we belong to the 20% of students who learn differently (LD) or 80% who are allied. David Flink will offer strategies for helping students own their LD identities, discover community and achieve equity through advocacy, accommodations, and allies. In addition to discussing his experiences with ADHD and dyslexia, he will share stories from Eye to Eye participants who have come to embrace their learning differences as superpowers rather than deficits.

Are you heading to SXSW EDU 2022? Tweet to let us know what sessions, speakers, and ideas you’re most looking forward to this year. And be sure to join David Flink’s Mentorship Matters: Empowering Those with Learning Differences session and stop by the Expo booth to meet the Eye to Eye team!
